How it works

The season, step by step.

The planner opens with a gentle order of operations, so you always know which page to reach for next.

  1. Early November

Fill in your bookplate year, set your Christmas Budget, and update The Nice List with this year’s sizes and wishes. Look back at Gift History before you shop.

  2. Mid November

Map the season on Season at a Glance, start the Christmas Checklist at four weeks out, and note carrier cutoff dates on Shipping and Mailing.

  3. Thanksgiving week

Shop from the Gift Planner, track deals on Black Friday and Cyber Week, and log every order on the Present Tracker.

  4. December

Plan on the December spread and Holiday Week pages, use the Daily Schedule for the big days, and keep the Gift Wrap Station and Card List moving.

  5. Christmas Eve and Day

Work from the Christmas Eve page and your Christmas Dinner timeline. Everything else can wait.

  6. After Christmas

Write thank you notes, finish Returns and Exchanges, pack away by box number, and write your Letter to Next December.

Seal the letter, and open it when the season begins again.

Keepsake pages

Made to stay in your binder.

Pages marked Keepsake in the Contents are made to stay in your binder year after year. The Nice List keeps everyone’s sizes. Gift History remembers who got what. Christmases Through the Years holds where you spent it, who gathered, and the favorite moment.

Print the rest fresh each November. And when the season ends, write your Letter to Next December, seal it in the printable envelope, and open it on December 1.

A note from Amanda

The holidays are a season of beauty, nostalgia, and connection, but they can also feel overwhelming without structure and intention.

This planner was designed to bring clarity to the chaos, and to make space for what truly matters: thoughtful gifts, meaningful traditions, and the moments you’ll want to remember.

Wishing you a Christmas of warmth, wonder, and meaning.

Questions

A few questions.

Which size do I get?

Both. Your download includes the full planner in A5 (148 × 210 mm) and in US Letter (8.5 × 11 in), so you can print whichever fits your planner, or both.

How do I print it?

Print at 100% or Actual Size, not Fit to Page, or the margins will shift. Every insert comes as a front and a back: print double-sided and flip on the long edge, or print single pages and mix and match. A 100 to 120 gsm paper is lovely to write on, and the keepsake envelope prints best on cardstock. Print one test page before the full planner, since every printer is a little different.

Can I use it again next year?

Yes. The file is for personal use, and you can print as many copies as you need for your own home each year. The Keepsake pages are made to stay in your binder, and everything else can be printed fresh each November.

Does December really spread across two pages?

It does. Print the full file in order and the two halves of the December spread will face each other once punched.

Is anything shipped?

No. The Christmas Hearth is an instant digital download, ready to print at home or at a print shop. Nothing will be shipped, and all sales are final.
